We are equipping two QUANTUM Water systems with our cloud-based COOLCARE 4.0 service for the production facility of an international developer of instruments for eye diagnostics. By combining continuous system monitoring and remote maintenance, COOLCARE 4.0 supports the operation of our chillers on site by providing operational data and system information during operation.
When manufacturing devices and instruments for eye diagnostics, it is not only modern production machines that play a role – the technical infrastructure in the background also influences high-quality results. A reliable cooling supply is a basic prerequisite for consistent production conditions and thus contributes significantly to quality assurance. To ensure uninterrupted cooling, smart systems are needed that guarantee detailed monitoring of chillers. ENGIE Refrigeration offers the perfect solution for a company in the optical industry: COOLCARE 4.0. The cloud-based service within ENGIE Refrigeration's Digital Cloud Services guarantees comprehensive system monitoring. In addition, COOLCARE 4.0 enables efficient remote maintenance by our team of experts. By using two water-cooled QUANTUM chillers in the production, our customer has already laid the foundation for this digital service solution. On site, our service team retrofits the systems with the necessary hardware so that they can be technically upgraded with COOLCARE 4.0 in the next step.
Focus on IT security in industry
Our customer placed particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive data. It goes without saying that IT security in industry is standard practice in our digital services. Consequently, we designed COOLCARE 4.0 in such a way that neither the machine nor the software requires a connection to our customer's internal company network. Another certainty is that our cloud-based service intelligently combines system monitoring and remote maintenance of our QUANTUM Water. If a malfunction occurs, our service team can inspect the machine remotely thanks to COOLCARE 4.0. This minimises on-site service calls and consequently reduces costs. Ultimately, the optical industry company uses a combination of cooling technology and digital plant monitoring. The system provides access to operational data of its chillers, supports the monitoring of operating parameters, and includes remote maintenance functions as well as documented IT security features.
