Heat recovery: Environmentally friendly and economical

Add to Bookmarks

As soon as companies start cooling on an industrial scale, waste heat is produced. But this is often lost without being used, even though it would be ideal for heating. Not so for ENGIE Refrigeration customers: our cooling solutions make it possible to put waste heat to good use – we call this heat recovery or energy recycling. A technology with a future!

Targeted use of heat: with Green Heat Recovery

Chillers with heat recovery

Heat recovery is more than just hot air: if you consider the lifetime of a system, even small energy savings can lead to a reduction in operating costs of several hundred thousand Euros. At the same time, saving energy means avoiding CO2 emissions.

For this reason, attractive subsidies are possible for systems that use waste heat. Consequently, heat recovery pays off in a wide range of areas – whether in production plants, data centres, hospitals or hotels.

QUANTUM Water is a stroke of genius from ENGIE Refrigeration. Equipped with the latest innovative technology, it is currently the most efficient water-cooled chiller series on the market.

With the help of the double condenser, additional heat is removed from the cooling process in parallel with the efficient cooling process and can be used for heating at up to 65 degrees Celsius. Find out more about our QUANTUM Water model series here.

Our air-cooled QUANTUM Air series is available with Green Heat Recovery (GHR). A special GHR condenser helps utilise some or all of the waste heat on a technological level. This means that the QUANTUM Air with heat recovery covers a range of heat transfer temperatures from 30 to 50 degrees Celsius.

We at ENGIE Refrigeration are the only company worldwide to offer this unique selling point in the air-cooled series. Find out more about our QUANTUM Air model series here.

The clever 2-in-1 solution for pleasant cool temperatures in summer and cosy warmth in winter: our air-cooled PENSUM Air model series with Green Heat Recovery helps to make targeted use of waste heat. A special hot gas desuperheater provides a portion of the waste heat as usable heat. This is integrated directly into the compressor discharge line of the chiller and uses the high hot gas temperatures to generate high domestic hot water temperatures.

This means that PENSUM Air with heat recovery covers a temperature spectrum of up to 45 degrees Celsius. Find out more about our PENSUM model series here.
