Why industrial heating with our products pays off:

Pleasant temperatures all year round: this is guaranteed by our industrial heat pumps. Because they not only perform excellently in heat supply, but are also very good at supplying cooling. This makes them ideal for many areas of application that rely on industrial heating and cooling all year round - such as office buildings, production halls and data centres.

Our industrial heat pumps reliably cover various temperature ranges. From low-temperature to high-temperature ranges: ENGIE Refrigeration's extensive portfolio makes it easy for you to find the right solution for your requirements.

Our heat pumps offer multiple energy-efficient operating modes. For example, selected models can use ambient air, geothermal energy or process waste heat as a heat source, which measurably reduces primary energy consumption and CO₂ emissions compared to conventional fossil heating – the exact savings depend on the heat source and operating conditions.

In addition, thanks to the sophisticated principle of heat recovery, our industrial heat pumps utilise waste heat generated in the cooling process – reducing primary energy consumption and operating costs. As a result, our systems significantly reduce operating costs and save valuable energy. A clear win-win situation!

Our industrial heat pumps set standards in the cooling and heating industry. With SPECTRUM Water, you get a solution that provides the first production-ready, oil-free machine design with top efficiency in heat generation on the market - and with outstanding efficiency values. SPECTRUM Water can also be combined with ice storage systems as a brine-to-water heat pump.

Meanwhile, QUANTUM Air and QUANTUM Water impress with their versatility and flexibility thanks to optional heat recovery (Green Heat Recovery). PENSUM Air Reversible Heat also uses sophisticated technology to help utilise waste heat in a targeted manner. Our industrial heat pumps are therefore a prime example of innovative machine development.

Our industrial heat pumps are fit for the future - our team of experts has focussed on this at every stage of development. As a result, you as the operator are entitled to attractive subsidy programmes from the European Union, the federal government and the federal states with some models. The partially integrated heat recovery is also subsidised.

You also benefit in economic terms, as you save energy costs through the sustainable operation of our industrial heat pumps and these are priced efficiently from the outset thanks to low installation costs and uncomplicated installation. In addition to saving you money, our industrial heat pumps use refrigerants with a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) – for example, selected models operate with refrigerants with a good GWP, significantly below conventional high-GWP alternatives.

In summary: What is a heat pump, and what benefits does it offer industry?

A heat pump is a technical device that transfers heat from the environment (e.g. air, water or the ground) from a lower temperature level to a higher one, making it usable. This is achieved using a refrigerant that absorbs heat from the surroundings. The heat is compressed in the form of gas by pressure (compressors), causing it to heat up further.

As many industrial plants rely on a reliable heat supply, ENGIE Refrigeration offers a range of industrial heat pumps. These offer numerous advantages:

  1. The heat pumps can technically cover cooling requirements and are therefore flexible in their application. Consequently, they are suitable for various areas of application.
  2. As the heating solutions can utilise ambient air, ground source energy or process waste heat for heat generation, they reduce primary energy consumption compared to conventional heating systems based on fossil fuels.
  3. With oil-free operation and the option of utilising waste heat, ENGIE Refrigeration's product portfolio includes heat pumps for industrial and commercial applications.
  4. The energy-efficient operation of industrial heat pumps – utilising ambient or waste heat – reduces energy costs compared to conventional heating technologies.
