New components, new combination of individual machine components: with the QUANTUM Water you benefit from an innovative combination of technological components that has never existed in this form before. Ultra-modern inner tube technology ensures an excellent heat transfer performance and an especially high level of efficiency with a low input of materials.
But there is more: the QUANTUM Water series is currently the only one on the market where every model is now fitted as standard with an open-flash economizer. Your advantage: even more performance, even greater efficiency. Paired of course with the excellent quality and long service life you know from our chillers.
In future the QUANTUM Water will offer even more intelligent options for control and regulation. We have adapted our tried-and-tested regulation strategy from our QUANTUM Air series to the water-cooled series and deploy the latest Siemens PLC in our switch cabinets ‘made in Germany’. The chillers thus achieve even greater efficiency than their predecessor models, particularly under partial load. All this can considerably reduce your carbon footprint – in line with ‘zero carbon transition as a service’, the mission pursued by ENGIE.
The QUANTUM Water is built for the future. For this reason, the chiller no longer needs to be operated on an integrated touch panel at a defined location on the machine; instead, it can be controlled via a smart control interface (web-based visualisation) – for example, by simply using a tablet and a Wi-Fi connection.
This is a new feature for the refrigeration industry and significantly increases ease of use. At the same time, the innovative smart control feature makes it easier for ENGIE specialists to perform maintenance and service, which saves you, the operating company, time and money in the long term.
Choose between the refrigerants R-515B, R-134a, R-513A and R-1234ze. And regardless of which refrigerant you choose: all QUANTUM Water chillers require a smaller quantity of refrigerant than the predecessor series – another added benefit for greater sustainability.
In addition, a special enclosure guarantees maximum safety, even in the unlikely event of an accident if the A2L refrigerant R-1234ze is used. Due to our special design, the new QUANTUM Water is now suitable for outdoor installation as well; this is unique in the refrigeration market. An ideal solution for all users who lack a large machine room but would nevertheless like to use future-proof high-end technology in their refrigeration supply.
With our sophisticated modular principle, we can offer 47 model versions in total, and you benefit from even shorter delivery times – up to four weeks less than before.
We at ENGIE Refrigeration will work with you to plan the optimal model version for your individual requirements. The advantages? Whether open, hybrid, adiabatic or closed: no matter what re-cooling system is used, the smart modular system offers the most efficient machine for each application. The new QUANTUM Water is a real powerhouse: the best match of all QUANTUM compressors available on the market ensures maximum performance. All in all, the QUANTUM Water models cover the full spectrum of different capacities, from 200 kilowatts to four megawatts.
They supersede the previous water-cooled QUANTUM W, QUANTUM B, QUANTUM X and QUANTUM G series from ENGIE Refrigeration. The QUANTUM Power will remain available to you as a special solution for even higher performance ranges up to 8.5 megawatts.

First sea water geothermal District Heating and Cooling in France, supplying end customers in Marseille. The highest energy efficiency in the market and simplified maintenance were the main decision criteria for the customer regarding this new DCS.
District Cooling for the Opera Paris and and its surroundings. With the QUANTUM P chillers the annual energy efficiency was calculated by Climespace to be twice the usual energy efficiency of big standard oil turbo chillers.
Perfectly suited – compact QUANTUM for particular customer demands. Customerʼs main deciding factors were the high energy efficiency, engine quietness and obviously the particular solution for an uncomplicated transport with a standard lift. In this way the customer reached substantial savings in costs and installation time.
New application for ENGIE Refrigeration chillers at the Moscow Airport Domodedovo – now also in Terminal 2. Customerʼs main criteria to choose QUANTUM chillers was the excellent cooperation during the project Terminal 1, support by the local team of ENGIE Refrigeration Moscow, the high energy efficiency and operational safety of our chillers.
Cooling water for data centre and air-conditioning of Terminal 1. The most important features for this retrofit project were energy efficient operation, extremely low noise and vibration level for integration in the existing building, as well as the control of the whole refrigeration plant through ENGIE Refrigeration plant manager.
QUANTUM chillers in operation and at the same time an object of study in the Danfoss Turbocor Headquarter showroom in Denmark. Danfoss Turbocor will achieve annual power savings of 165,000 kWh.
Two QUANTUM chillers installed above the roof of Hamburg provide perfect air conditioning for an office building: Replacement for five competitor machines, some of which were no longer functional and therefore had immense operating costs.
