In winter, they ensure the desired warmth with flow temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius. This not only saves you asset costs, but also reduces refrigerant-related greenhouse gas emissions: the R-454B refrigerant used has a GWP of 466 – 78 percent lower than the previously common R-410A.
PENSUM Air Reversible Heat extracts energy from the ambient air as a renewable energy source for heating and cooling. The models in this series of low-temperature air-to-water heat pumps are particularly cost-efficient, quiet and achieve energy efficiency class A++ (according to EU 811/2013). With a power range of 50 to 400 kilowatts, the series is particularly suitable for use in office buildings and public facilities.
All PENSUM Air models use the future-proof refrigerant R-454B, which has a low GWP value of 466. This means that it is already below the average GWP of <500 specified by the 2030 F-gas Regulation. If you choose a machine with R-454B, the impact on the environment is reduced by 78 percent compared to a machine with R-410A refrigerant.

At outdoor temperatures around the freezing point, heat exchangers of air-to-water heat pumps tend to ice up. To prevent the ice from impeding heat transfer and causing performance drops, PENSUM Air Reversible Heat automatically activates a defrost programme. The hot gas defrosting method used is not only safe and fast, but also has a better energy balance than an electric heating element, for example.
