The main task of the heat pump is to activate the probe array, as server cooling is to a large extent covered by free cooling. If free cooling is not enough, the system switches over to the thermeco2 heat pump. The heat pump is cold-based, with the performance regulated automatically by the heat pump according to the target temperatures of the secondary circuit at the evaporator outlet. The relevant operating mode is specified via a digital input. Two chilled water units and one gas boiler are available for peak loads.
