Since the spring of 2006, QUANTUM heat pumps from ENGIE Refrigeration have been used to heat the open-air adventure pools in Krumbach and Ebermannstadt. There are several advantages for the operators: By using QUANTUM technology, the energy consumption could be reduced enormously. The energy efficiency is COP > 9 in the partial load range and 6.4 in the full load range. Only 106 kW of electricity energy is required for a heat input of 686 kW.
