ENGIE Deutschland GmbH

Facts and Figures

Founding and development
On 09/08/2001, the Belgian Groupe Fabricom, a subsidiary of the Suez Group, took over six independent Sulzer Infra companies in Germany, continuing their operations under the brand name Axima. In mid-August 2003, the six companies were merged to form Axima GmbH. At the end of 2008, the company was renamed Axima Deutschland GmbH and Axima Refrigeration GmbH was integrated as a subsidiary. Since November 2009, both companies have been operating under the names Cofely Deutschland GmbH and Cofely Refrigeration GmbH respectively. At the end of 2010, Cofely Deutschland GmbH acquired Bochumer Contracting-Spezialisten Proenergy Contracting GmbH & Co. KG. A further purchase was made in 2011: Cofely Deutschland took over the Saxony-based Ingenieurgesellschaft Haus-Technik mbH (IHT) which has been active on the contractor market since 1997. In 2014, in the course of continued company growth, Cofely took over H.G.S. GmbH & Co. KG, a technical service provider in the thermal power station sector.

In 2015, the GDF SUEZ Group officially changed its name to ENGIE S.A. As part of the re-orientation of the Group under the new umbrella brand, Cofely Deutschland GmbH began operating under the name of ENGIE Deutschland GmbH in June 2016.
